[You know what sucks, Luceti? Waking up in the clinic and remembering exactly how you got there.

And this, in fact, is what has just happened to Giles.

He feels like he's just survived one of the worst cases of the flu in human history and the right side of his body is one big stinging ache and one hand's in a cast and he's suddenly so very glad he's awake because that means he's not dreaming.

He sits up, groans as his head throbs, and has to stop for a second so the world can stop spinning and he doesn't lose what little food he has in his stomach. Memories slowly trickle back. The infiltration, the mission, the prisoners, the attack, the...

His journal and his glasses are by his bed - he grabs both. When his voice comes over the journal, he sounds deeply worried.]

Is everyone all right? Did everyone make it back? [He fumbles with his glasses for a second. Once they're on, the world slides back into focus and everything makes a bit more sense. A though strikes him, and he laughs bitterly] I don't even know most of your names and I'm asking after your health. Dear Lord...

((ooc: I'm assuming Giles has spent the last couple of days inactive, mostly unconscious, and recovering, due to getting mauled by a hellish monster and exposed to poison air. Maybe awake on and off, but he only manages to get back on his feet today. Assuming one of you nice people that got him to the clinic after the infiltration mission, since falling unconscious from the poison and his injuries was kind of a given.))

[So, hey, Luceti. You haven't heard this voice in a few days.]

I'd like to thank everyone for being so patient with me this last week. I know it can't have been fun, having to wait for me to write everything out.

[A pause, as Giles collects his thoughts. He's not sure where to go from here, but decides to forge ahead anyway]

And thank you, everyone who...reassured me. For a first kidnapping, I know it could have been worse. I know for those of you who have been through worse that you probably wanted to smack me a few times. But...[The sound of a sigh] I don't like things being...done to me. And I don't like being helpless to stop it.

[So, that's that. Giles will wait around for a few minutes, see if anyone's not too busy to reply. Then he'll leave his journal in his apartment and head out. It's not that far to the tunnels, and that is his destination. He'll talk to people along the way, if they want to talk with him, but otherwise he's a Watcher on a mission and he's not at all focused on the here and now.

He hesitates at the entrance, Derek's warning running through his mind. But for the chance to exact even the smallest bit of payback against the Organization was worth it, at this point. Not just for what they'd done to him - what they'd done to everyone. What they could do whenever they wanted. He didn't want to be here, but there were people he cared about here and he wanted justice for them.

Eventually, he descends into the tunnels without a backward glance. He'll be back up after he gets John's upgrade]

((ooc: I...hope this is the right way to do it. If not, please let me know and I'll delete. Also, sorry for the comm spam.))
