This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. It is also good for follow ups to other threads or to play out reactions to other threads that might not occur immediately at the time of the journal post. This can be used to thread with

consultmybooks anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

According to the Doctor, w-we should already have shredded the fabric of the univers a thousand times over just by being here.

...we can't change anything. We won't remember anything. I was, I was determined to do so, and...I never did.

[She sighs and clasps a hand over her face.]

/God, I'm sorry. I came by to make sure you were okay and I'm picking your brain with questions again./

[He laughs weakly.]

A trait of yours' that I have always found to be your most endearing, Ginia.

[But the brief spark of affection soon fades to sadness again.]

...I miss them. I've never been so disconnected from home, not even while I was here, and unless they come back here, I...

...I can't see them again.

[Ginia blushes at that, head ducking down briefly, but the statement is oddly... touching.

Her hand tightens a little more as she listens to his words, really analyzing and thinking deep on it, not liking where her mind goes at all. She gets up from het seat and walks over to his side, scrutinizing a bit more before giving him a hug.]

[He returns the hug without a word. A sob nearly sounds in his throat, but he bites it back.]

[Ginia draws back slightly to look at him. It's not pity, but empathy and understanding and her next words are the ones she sometimes wishes someone would tell her.]

[Giles ducks his head, looks away, and shakes his head.]

[Giles signs his reply, because saying it is...impossible.]

[He still looks away as tears start to sting at his eyes.]

[Still, she won't press the subject any further. Back to hugging and she'll stay for as long as he wants her to.]

[Tears do eventually become sobs, however hard Giles may try to hold them back. It will be a while before he seems to settle down enough to pull a little away from her.]

[Her hands move soothing over his back as she holds him, not judging, not comment, just being a silent guardian for him. When he begins to pull away, she relaxes her grip and gently smiles at him.]

[He looks away again, just long enough to make an attempt at wiping his eyes.]

[There are plenty of things Ginia knows she doesn't have to do, but she does them anyway. She heads to the counter and grabs a few paper napkins, setting them on the table in front of him.]

[He takes them, still without looking over at her, and tries to clean himself up.]

...your tea's getting cold.

[His voice is steadier, at least.]
